A Vacation To Remember..... A pre-sembreak special (Day 1)

Last October 10 was the fulfillment on one of my dreams.... to have a vacation abroad....

HongKong and Macau are the places that was unchecked already on the list of places I dreamed to be visited.

October 10, 2009 (5:30 am) : We are in the Davao International Airport waiting for our first flight bound to Manila.

8:30 am : We already arrived at the Ninoy Aquino National Airport and stay put until 10:30 since we need to check-in all our luggages (for it was heavy!) coz we planned to eat our lunch at Mall of Asia (since its the nearest mall at the airport).

12:00 pm to 2:00 : We are inside MOA, within this time we ate our lunch, ate ice cream and roaming inside the gigantic mall in the Philippines. I haven't took much pictures since, I really dont feel like watching by standbyers taking different poses. (kahiya!)

3:00 pm : Were back at the NAIA, since we need to get inside and be interviewed by the immigration officers. Ang nakakatawa, were kept of practicing the answers of the possible questions that might be asked, yun pala the only questions are : "Why are you going to HongKong?" "How many are you?"... hehhehe. Di naman pala strict...

4:30 - 6:30 : Inside the plane bound to HongKong. I really cant keep myself from excitement of landing myself to a foreign place (I'm a first timer with this kind of trip!). Though, I miss the Philippines, but can't help thinking of staying HongKong for several months.... (as if may pera!)

7:00 : At Last, were off to HongKong International Airport. After we took off on the plane, we are keep of taking pictures inside the airport. Amazingly, I can say that I already ride a plane escalator where it keeps you stay and allow the escalator takes you to the destination where the country visitors need to surrender themseleves first. The Immigration area. hehehe..

7:25 : As we were about to leave the airport, Riza suddenly remembers that she had lost her valuable camera ( Oh my Gosh!) as in oh my G_O_S_H! what a heck! We did so much just to retreive the cam, as of the very moment, our excitement turns down up to 0 level. That damn camera sips our energy and turn to disappointments. We suddenly feel the differences as we asks for help to any staff at the airport... What the , they dont even know how to speak English or at least understand... Language barriers makes me annoy.

Dont know what time we left airport bringing with a saddened face where we could not find anymore the precious camera. (huhuhu!) Thought, that it would be enough that night, not until Riza did it again... She left her luggages as we stepped out in the bus... WHAT the HECK again...

Ohh my, we decided to check our room first before we will decide what are we going to do for the lost luggages. Of course were tired, hungry plus the pressure of the unexpected things that happens. As we found the Mirador Mansion where we gonna stay that night and found the guest house we booked , we have this heated arguments with the Chinese citizen whom we thought is the owner of the guesthouse which turns out that she was just an employee.... Ang taray taray para kung sino. Wella is almost fed up that's why I was the one who talked with the ugly chinese-like-she-was-the-owner.

As we came to the room, Riza still can't make herself calm... of course who would like to be calm on her situation... All of her and her son's clothes are there as well as KD's milk... So I accompanied Riza to went back at the airport to regain her luggages.

God is good all the time, He never allows second mistakes hahahah... The driver was so kind as he lead us to where he deposited the luggages.. In short, Riza had her luggages back..

Thought, it would end up there, not until Riza and I took off the bus at the wrong place... Ohh my! Silly me, instead of spending money for fare, we decided to walk thinking that the Mirador Mansion is in three blocks away... We end up walking a three kilometers, hahahaha....

But still, I'm thanking God, that He still keep us safe until we reach the mansion. We disturbed the guard, the guest officers since we did not bring the key. (katangahan talaga!).

We really thank God for keeping us alive despite of the katangahan situation....

As we say, Thank you Hong Kong for the way of welcoming us!

Macau----- One Month 17 Days To Go!

Since I started working I always dreamed to visit places in different areas in the country or been lucky to visit any parts of the world.... I've been to Cebu, Bohol, Manila, Dumaguete, Bais City, Digos City and Samal Island. Unbelievable, this year is the chance where I experience to fly and visit my first out of the country trip....and mind you guys I will visit not one city but three in a row.... MACAU-HONGKONG and SHENZEN.....

One Month and 17 days to go.... I will be on those places and you've seen my pictures happilly giggles on the cities tourist spots.... But before that let me introduced to you what Macau's truly offers...

Macau, also spelled Macao, is one of the special administrative regions of China. It lies at the estuary of the Pearl River of Canton Province, directly 70 kilometers west of Hong Kong. Covering an area of 23.5 square kilometers, it consists of Macau peninsula, Isle of Taiga and Isle of Coloane.

Macao is a hot tourist destination in China with many famous tourist attractions, namely :

1.) A-MA Cultural Village

Close to the world's tallest statue of the goddess A-Ma (also known as Tian Hou), which stands on a 170-meter high peak on a mountaintop on Macau's Colone Island, a 7000-square meter cultural complex celebrates the beloved deity's legend.

This village, which comprises a bell tower, drum tower, carve marble altar in the Tian-Hou Palace or A Ma Temple, a dressing hall, museum and shops will attract many A-Ma devotees and interested tourists.

2.) Musuem of Macao

The Museum of Macao was inaugurated on 18th of April, 1998. It's aim is to preserve the cultural traditions, usages and habits, which specifically belong to Macau, in a place where East, and West have so peculiarly learnt how to meet and to live side by side along the centuries.

Although the Museum does not possess a collection of a high monetary value, it includes a vast number of objects of a great historical value.

3.) Ruins of St. Paul

The Ruins of St. Paul's (also known as Sam Ba Sing Tzik) stands adjacent to the famous Mount Fortress and Macau Museum. The front facade and the grand stone stairs are the only remains of the greatest church in Macau.

4.) Guia Fort

Built on the highest point of Macau between 1637 and 1638, the Guia Fortress contains a chapel and a lighthouse. The chapel inside is in the style of Portuguese heritages of the 17th century.
To this day, it provides a guiding beacon to the passing boats.

5.) Fishermans Wharf

The first ever-the med entertainment attraction in the tourism industry of Macau, Macao Fisherman's Wharf (Fisherman's Dock) is centrally located at Macau's outer harbour, 5-minute walk from the Macau Ferry Terminal and Heliport. The total investment of the project is anticipated to reach HKD 1.9 billion. The project occupies an area of over 93000 square meters, combining entertainment, retail, food, hotel, marina, convention and exhibition facilities in one place. Be it for business or pleasure, visitors will surely find a brand new experience in this world-class entertainment complex.

6.) Hac Sa Beaches

Both located on Colone Island, Cheoc Van and Hac Sa beaches are suitable for sun bathing and swimming. Cheoc Van is a white sanded beach with a lovely swimming pool.

Hac Sa, literarily means "Black Sand", is the most popular beach amongst local Macao residents. Wind surfers can be hired on the beach and there are barbecue pits at one end of the beach.

7.) Macao Tower

pened officially on 19th December 2001, the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Center (MTCEC) comprises of a communications and observation tower, a 4-level Convention & Entertainment Center and a 2-level underground basement, as well as an Outdoor Plaza.

The Macao Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre is designed by CCMBeca that has begun construe.

There you have it, the places are the major tourist spots you can visit in Macau, but I know there are some beautiful spots that only I will uncover.....

According to my research, Macau is economical, as Macau is a free port. Therefore, no sales tax is charged, but bargaining is common for many items. Usually, shopping at the designated shops can get a discount if we want to have our trip to Macau.

Like Hong Kong, Macau is famous for the shopping paradise. It's most popular buys are jewelry, Chinese antiques, porcelain, pottery, electric gadgetry, cameras, watches, beading work, and knitted wear. But jewelry is the first choice of the tourist.

That's why I'd better make my shopping budget into consideration in case of I cannot overcome my temptations....

Until, next ish! Where you can see me in flesh with Macau's beautiful spots in a background... Watch out for it!
